Last Saturday I arrived in Denmark for a quick one-week stay after four months in Kuala Lumpur working with Lion&Lion and Nova Founders. Many fellow danes in and around the office warned me that coming back would allow me to see my beloved homecountry in a different and perhaps less flattering light, and that is exactly what happened. Apart from the weather (which is absolutely amazing these days) Denmark now seems slow, boring and without the radiating sense of “wanting to grow” as a country that I have experienced in Malaysia. By this subjective (and maybe a bit pessimistic) comparison it seemed to me that we have lost, but more importantly this realisation also sparked other thoughts in my mind; thoughts about how and why I ended up where I am.
